Get Ready to Vote!
September 21, 2020: Election called.
September 26, 2020: Deadline for online or phone voter registration.
October 15, 2020 – October 21, 2020: Advance In-Person Voting.
October 17, 2020: Deadline for requesting a vote-by-mail package online or by phone
October 24, 2020: General Voting Day – In-Person Voting Places open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m
October 24, 2020: Completed vote-by-mail packages must be received by Elections BC before 8 p.m
Can I vote?
You can vote in a B.C. provincial election if you are a Canadian citizen, 18 or older on General Voting Day, and a resident of B.C. for the past six months.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can register as a future voter to be automatically added to the Provincial Voters List when you turn 18.
Do I need to be registered to vote?
Yes. Voter registration online and by phone is now closed, however you can also register when you vote.
